Layoffs at Shell Bangalore

Last night many people got notified; 10th June is the LWD in India ! Did you got impacted? This layoff is presented what happened 2.5 months back in MTV!

Many contractors across the board have been fired. Massive budget cuts happening right now at Shell. Folks are feeling drained seeing this happening, next rounds are also being planned. Worst time to do this, especially with the festive season and year-end lined up. 😞

More layoffs at paypal is ahead. Lot of restructuring is happening internally and morale is at all time low. Sad to see all this happening.

Have Ibm and Intel started layoffs in India??

All teams are affected. Emails are being sent out by HRs for 1:1. Around 400 people are affected throughout tech department and R&D department.

15-18 folks we informed about termination today.

Heard from people I know at Bain that they are laying off. This is mostly the first time an MBB is doing layoffs (earlier they would silently fire, or delay onboarding) A friend got impacted. Seems like this could be 10-15% of their consultants. Unprecedented.

Week back there were posts by linkedin engineers that linkedin is hiring SDEs and anyone can as referral and today they laid off 700 people. Like whats happening man!!! Is the company dumb or what?
