Layoffs done with Humanity
Layoffs are a common theme these days among all kinds of companies. In general, Layoffs are bad for the people affected. I want to hear stories from people who had a layoff that was done with dignity, respect and humanity. Please describe what made your experience of the layoff great and which company were you part of. How a company handles Layoffs reflects a lot on the culture of that company. So let us highlight companies that do Layoffs well.
There is nothing really dignified about layoffs. Intelligent employees don't give a damn about CEO and HR scripts. They will be happy if you give them 6 months of severance pay.
There's nothing pleasant about layoff! My personal experience was extremely humiliating and absolutely no regard for an individual's contribution to the organisation. They will go about their business without even pausing for a second!

Not recent, but Resideo gave severance package of 1 month pay for every 1 year served. Which helped all long timers to find a decent job and not feel the pinch of layoff.
Other way that company deploy is no hiring for roles that get vacant, no promotion so people leave out for better opportunity and this helping company the embarrassing situation of layoff
