Are these people who are being fired coders ? Or do they belong to sales, management, accounting and other engineering departments.

Not recently but last year around August. Flipkart also did the same. Forcefully put the guys in PIP and then fired.

This is their 3rd layoff as per media. First was done in May 2020, second in Dec 2022, and now this.

Not really salary based firing, There is a funding freeze and Now VC are insisting on profitability. Therefore restructuring is happening to save costs. This is particularly for startups which were not bootstrapped.
