I am working since 2 years in IT industry and am thinking of not leaving job and doing online MBA from a top Institute. I am not very interested in IT and want to change my field in Marketing or Finance side. Fess is 10 lakh rs.
Is it worth it.
I see this as the best option since I am not very confident in cracking CAT and doing a offline MBA from this type of premier Institute.
Please share your thoughts on this. Any kind of comment or suggestion is much appreciated.

Hi, I have over 3.5 years of experience in IT and working at a service based company. I'm working in Oracle PaaS tech stack and not sure how much scope it has because not every organisation uses it. To switch technologies is difficult within an organization, unless you are lucky to have a project like that. I was thinking to consider MBA in business analytics because of the same. Is it beneficial to do Online MBA or PGPWP from IIM’s, considering that the fees is ~20LPA and the classes are conducted online or on weekends. I am currently working in a big 4 with 5years of experience in tech consulting and earning ~ 30LPA, leaving current job will be a difficult decision, therefore I have been considering such courses. My current employer might not be able to give me any promotion on this basis but will it help in long run and help in switching to MBB’s ? 
Also, does the degree of these courses specify online or anything which sets it apart from regular course degree?

Does mba helps in long term? I know in short term it doesn't pay as much as sdes. But in long term sdes have salaries capped after certain stage. So if one decides to go into executive position, does not having mba hinders the process. Has anyone experienced this non - sense. I know this doesn't happen in usa, there people from philosophy background can go into higher position on the basis of merit or politics:). But here in India how's the scenario. Please put your thoughts.

I need advice on the same whether it helps in my career or not .( The ultimate goal is to either start my business in 5 years or go abroad and work in a MNC). I am 23. But job is not ment for me tbh 😔. Have a business background but it's not stable that's why joined corporate for get some money for ok life. I have a shitty bachelor's degree from tier 2/3 college that has been a hindrance in getting good jobs. Need a master's degree but full time MBA seems wasteful and expensive, since I already understand the basics of business and have bootstrapped startups from scratch.

Are online MBA or master's programs any useful or helpful? Any recommendations? I'm on a budget, can't spend more than 5-10 lakhs.

Okay I know the headlines sounds very gimmicky like a fresh out the boat 18 year old who’s just finished watching Wolf of Wall Street and is trying to sell you his “crappy” pen.

I tried helping a few people and I know there’s still a lot of people who are confused so I just wanted to help them out like a guardian angel. 😌😂

Also if there are any other genuine counsellors here who can help people by all means go ahead and let’s just bring back some value to the title “Academic Counsellors” as it’s been really turned into a joke by some.

Hi everyone,

I came across a 36 week product management course from IIM Kozhikode (Approx 1.8 L + GST) and a 12 week program from ISB (Approx 1.4 L + GST).

Do these courses/programs help? I am interested in understanding product management better and if these courses will help me in achieving that (and potentially help my career), I might enroll in one of these 2 courses.

A bit of background - I am nearing 16 years in IT. Was primarily into Automation testing and now am a Test Manager in a big4.

I am okayish with my current salary but wouldn't think twice if a better role with better pay came my way. Also, don't mind moving from a Test Manager role to Product Management.

I browsed through the curriculum and some of the topics I am already familiar with. 
Would you suggest I enroll in one of these courses and will it help having  a certification from one of these institutes? I guess I could also read books and browse YouTube for knowledge but,I doubt that would have the same impact as one of these courses (provided they are of use and actually have good content).
