Mim abroad vs MBA in one of the top B schools here
Non-tech grad planning to do Masters but stuck in this conundrum. For more context: - Grades went down a lot but for medical reasons - Loads of extra curriculars plus freelancing for 2 years - Working as a marketer in an early stage startup - GRE score: 320. CAT yet to give this Nov I know that getting IIM BLACKI is impossible even if I’m not a GEM cause all they care about is grades. But I wanna know if an MiM abroad is worth it or should I just do an MBA in some top 10 b school here. If anyone’s done an MiM - lemme know if it’s worth it and if the ROI is good.
320 GRE is low, try to get a 325+ this will do two things for you
1. Open ISB in India
2. Can help you get good scholarship + admit at ESADE, IESE, HEC, etc.
give another shot on GRE or better GMAT
Is ISB a better choice compared to HEC or any of the Grande Ecole programs?
Depends upon where you want to eventually settle if India and SEA - where the majority of future GDP growth is then ISB
If Europe and UK then Grande Ecole

MiM is only worth it if you plan to stay in Europe. If you get into better colleges like HECs etc, I would suggest you go for it, the international experience is definitely worth it. Will give you the highest returns if you can learn French/German etc. Increases your chances of getting internships and jobs.
IIMs are typical rat race placement factories. No new experience tbh. All your energies will be focussed towards CVs & placements from day 1. That isn't MBA IMHO.
