Moving to Hyderabad, what all should I know?
Office is in financial district. How to find house, what about transportation, maid, cook, groceries. 2BHK or 3BHK?
If you are a bachelor, try for Mantri Celestia at Wipro Circle. You can get a separate room at 12-15k in a 3 BHK. FD/Gachibowli is costly area wherein you have rare good 3BHKs under 50k/month. If you running on budget, you should look for societies which are on the left side post toll on the ORR road towards airport. It is a20-25 mins commute by own vehicle. Maid & Cook charge 4-5k average for a family of 2.
Hey, I stayed in financial district from 2019 till Covid stuck. I moved from Delhi and loved the city and the people who were generally very polite.
In my experience, best way to look for a room (I am assuming with other flat mates) is through Fb groups. If you want to rent an entire flat then I would suggest shortlisting some societies that you like and then finding current residents/society guards and figuring out leads from there. Be patient and take your time finding a place with things that are important to you. When you find something that you like, lock it down fast!
Maid and cook are a hit or a miss. I had a great hard working maid with a not so great cook at the beginning and found a decent one later on. There are generally plenty of options in gated societies.
Regarding groceries, my society had a weekly vegetable-fruit market inside the society every Sunday morning. If I woke up on time, this was the place to go. Otherwise Ratnadeep stores seemed good and also IIRC there is a weekly market on Sundays on the Nanakramguda road.
Transportation: My office was approx 3kms from my residence and Rapido/Uber auto were my go to at the beginning, before I got my own two wheeler.
Good luck!
Been here for 6 months and if you find anything decent in any of these, tell me as well ๐

Hyderabad is costlier than Bangalore now. Be prepared to shell out a lot of rent. Weather hot till June.
If you dont mind a small commute, get a flat in nallagandla or gopanpally. The road is smooth, not much traffic, you can reach in 15 minutes. Or try manikonda, it has options in all the brackets.

Been in hyderabad for 6 months, uber, rapido is a pain at office time, they keep cancelling, idk why maybe to increase surge price.
So if your office provides a commute facility
You can stay a little farther than the financial district
Namely gopanpalle, nanakramguda or kondapur
Which will be little east on pocket than Gachibowli.
You can find pg/colive/isthara type service in area around gowlidoddy and kondapur
You can try that as well
But food will be a issue
