A VC investor at a startup I worked at leaked our proprietary tech to a larger competitor from their portfolio.
VCs are there to maximise their portfolio returns, not aid the success of your startup. Sometimes, both of these are aligned but many times they aren't.
Great made-up story but worth the lesson.
i work in a 20 team startup which solves atual problem and with happy customers, and i really really wish i could show this to the co founders. they too are on this chase infinite growth trajectory.
You should do it, atleast fwd it to them ir in slack somewhere and leave it open ended like 'came across this pretty crazy thing'
At least this ll be in the back of their mind for a few secs, who knows what could happen
As I always say that the silicon valley tv show at times feels like a reality show and less a comedy show as VCs actually do all this kind of fuckery
Wow, sums it up i guess. Hard hitting reality of VC funding!
