You won't believe what happened today at the office.
I was chilling at my desk and minding my own business. That is when this boomer comes out of nowhere and tells me to clean the plates in the pantry. I was like, huh???
I did not join for this.
I said, "Yeh mera kaam nahi hai" but he just smiled and said that, "Yaha everyone contributes to everything." What part to contribute to? Since when did "Software Engineer" include "Dishwasher" in the job description?
I was so angry, but I didn't want to make a scene in front of everyone. So, I just rolled up my sleeves and picked up a plate. I could feel my blood boiling. That guy had the audacity to say, "Make sure you clean it properly"
"Sahi mei? I have a degree in Computer Science, not some Hotel Management coolie." Before I started, he said that he was just kidding and it was just a joke.
Has anyone else had to deal with this kind of nonsense at their company?

@MautKaKhauf Clearly, your dad's 20 lakhs have gone down the drain. Even after spending so much, you have not learned to stand up for yourself and say 'NO.' You might be a mighty software engineer who could go to NASA one day, but don't disrespect any other profession. At least they have learned to respect others without spending so much on their education.
