I dont understand this. People don't want to sponsor indian/other state teams, but will be happy to sponsor Scotland. i wonder what is the benefit for the company here. I hope they are not aiming to sell ice-cream and flavored milk in GB.

Cricket is majorly watched by indians. With apps like dream11, your major consumer is indian user. Compared to sponsoring on indian jersey where the sponsorship cost is very high, indian cos can sponsor rest of the teams. There are 20 teams this time.
Just RoI game I guess. I am also not convinced.
But when Scotland plays India... That's an excellent opportunity right there. Apart from when if Scotland beats Pakistan or Bangladesh as well.
On the flipside though it has created enough hype now.. with this first language to be displayed on intl cricketers etc....
It would have been a really great move if it was on Indian jersey. No one watches Scotland and Ireland match. Waste of money. Nothing else.
Doesn't matter much. It's an age old symbol & nandini has always been known for simplicity.
