Need Career Advice.

Currently I’m working with a finance company as a operations manager for an year now. It is my first full time job after graduating. I only have one year of experience as of now. The thing is altho my role is completely remote and I’m getting around 80k per month, and work life balance is good. I don’t get much work load but I’m not getting any new skills and also I don’t enjoy the role or the company. I want to pursue a career as a Security analyst or similar domain but it’s hard to get into this department. Should I continue in this company or switch to another with my preferred role.

I'm in a cyber security degree, I've asked my seniors and came to know that the college won't teach me anything related to it. Nothing that I didn't expect. So Here's my routine, I'm learning Web-development, Just started bug bounty a little, thinking about starting flutter. I wish I could keep learning this everyday but the works from college and since I'm a day scholar, I get very little time for my own adventures. Somewhere deep within, I can sense the urge to dropout. I can surely learn by myself and learn better and faster than what they teach in college. I also want to move abroad, India isn't for me. By your experience, what do you think I should be doing differently?

I’m wondering if there are any cybersecurity jobs in India for entry level? Most of the requirements i see for entry level roles are in between 3-5 years of experience. I’m actively looking for some roles in security engineering but only got 1+ year of exp and it’s been extremely hard to get any interviews. Any suggestions on how should I approach to land a role in this.

Hello corporate "hustlers," I am one of you, but my hustle is filled with a lot of chaos. I'm reaching out for help as I’ve been trying to figure things out for the last few years, and now it’s high time I sought advice here. I belong to the COVID-19 batch and graduated in journalism and mass communication from Chandigarh University. During the pandemic, our business suffered great losses, and currently, I am the only one earning for my family. I've been extremely unlucky with jobs and now feel exhausted and ready to quit. In the last three years, I’ve worked with four different companies, lasting a maximum of 7-8 months at each. Presently, I am employed at a company where I have to monitor campaigns 24/7. My teammates and I constantly face hate and pressure from management to either quit or deliver results. Imagine this: my salary is 40k, but my monthly revenue target is close to 1 crore. It’s a terrible situation. I have to create subpar campaigns on Google AdWords to generate traffic and clicks. Sometimes, we’re even asked to use provocative images to attract an audience. There’s no control over things—it’s purely luck-based right now, and we get blamed every day. I want to change my job, but every company rejects me due to my experience and short tenures. They want someone who has been stable in their roles. I don’t know what certifications to pursue, what skills to learn, or who will hire me after doing all this. I am tired of this. Can someone please help me with any suggestions or guidance? Thank you.

I am working in Deloitte right now in Hyderabad but as a contractor. The job I have is a help desk analyst aka service desk analyst. But, I am and always have been interested in Cybersecurity. I have a couple of certifications in Cybersecurity but nothing industry standard like CompTIA Security+ which by the way I am planning to get soon. I want to work as a Cybersecurity analyst or anything related to Cybersecurity in Deloitte. How do I do that. What do I need, what do I have to do, what do I have to have. Basically how do I proceed. Is it possible? Please help me!! Please!!!

Need guidance please. 2022 passout. Currently working as a Cybersecurity Analyst, the project is more like a Technical Support Role. Have to connect with the user and troubleshooting in their laptop if issue required. Here I have to work in 3 different shifts like for morning 5.30 am or from night 9pm to 6.30 am or at afternoon from 2pm and it's changing weekly. And also have to report to the office now in those timings. I want to change the domain to different role like backend or frontend or in the same domain I want to switch to a different company. Is it good to resign without having any other selection ( I am good to sit without any company for 2-3 months)? If I resign and will sit for 3-4 months without working in any company, does the next company which I will apply for interviews or openings, will not allow me to sit in their interviews? Or would not go with my resume? And what could else I have to face . Need truthful guidance.

Hi Folks, I am a penetration tester having 7 years of experience. Though I am doing pretty well in my current role, I am not feeling the impact it creates. Security is seen as a support function and does not bring real value other than audit reports for the sake of regulatory requirements. Building something gives the real impact on thousands of customers. I want to switch to SDE roles, willing to put whatever the effort it takes. Suggestions please.
