Need advice on Game Dev Project!
Context: First Year CSE student
One of my classmates approached me asking if I was interested in game dev. I have barely been learning programming and other self-learning stuff so agree, thinking that I would be able to have some accountability Also make new friends.
Decided we would learn C++ and game dev on unreal engine 5 during our semester break.
Problem:
I have an old HP 840 G1 laptop which doesn't have enough juice to run UE5.
Is there a way for me to do this without needing a high spec laptop?
If not, should I focus on doing projects that I could complete with my resources, considering I was not terribly interested in game dev in the first place?

everything happens step by step, i suggest to try GODOT engine and start making 2D or pixel-art style game first like Mario.
Are you interested in game dev? If yes, then buy a good specs laptop. Its an investment
