You are overthinking.

All you need to do is either get face 2 face or on a call or mail.

Say - Market is valuing me Rs.Y which I think is fair. I'll be forever worry about finances here in the back of my mind and I'll be miserable for leaving the money on the table. Can you match it?

Don't reply to anything they ask or any negotiation they do, just appear sad without speaking anything. This is the technique that people can't digest and speak their mind and loose the game.

Finally leave the meeting without asking anything else.

After few days they will match your Rs.Y.

If after 3 office days they haven't replied you back. Send your resignation mail and don't look back.

They will try to negotiate you back in, even if they match the Rs.Y offer, do not go back. This will preserve your integrity.

In this entire process ball is always in their court and they have 0 incentives to blacklist you.

Approach senior at X tell him that Z is offering more. Don’t tell about Y.
When he understand be sensitive and tell him it will be good to look into the offer again and it’ll be great that they match at X or give better offer. Then send it to Y and get even better offer and take role at Y

@TrueDomain29 had posted this on an earlier post in Salary discussions. Hope it helps.

Never ever reveal your salary at the start of these interviews. If they ask for it, just say my expected salary is in this range.
If it's out of budget, they won't get back to you. And you would have saved your time as well.

Once they proceed with the interviews, you also need to understand how ur interview is going. Do you have any leverage (on target experience, specialization, early availability, their need etc)

Once you understand your leverage, you can use that to justify your ask.

Don't be afraid to ask, if you don't, you will mostly undercut yourself.

But while asking, don't be arrogant. Be polite and respectful, say you want total comp to be this, which can be split as fixed + variable + joining bonus. And you need X amount of RSU/ESOPs etc. Justify your ask.

It they really like you and want you, they will come back with a reasonable offer
