If I open their app they're promoting meme coins and "Web 3.0" shit.  Its clear they don't know where to go. The only coins worth investing are bitcoin and ethereum anyway

Always hold multiple offers in hand before making a move. Never maintain expectation for companies. If companies can exploit candidates, then candidates should also behave in same way.

This is really sad and unprofessional, I hope you join the organisation best for you where you grow 10x. These recruiters sometimes act very unprofessionally.  
 On a similar note I had an interview scheduled with Deutsche bank last week, I confirmed many time with the recruiter about the link and that it is happening, at the time of interview nobody showed up. And when I asked her she said let me check, called me back and said the team is not responding to me. Are they really this unprofessional to that panelists did not show up? Recruiter did not check with them and so much more. I was really disappointed and had high hopes .

Interviewed with them 2 months back, got ghosted after the first round. I guess I was lucky to doge the bullet

I'm sorry to hear that. However, the positive aspect is that the incident kept you from joining a troubled organization. The culture has significantly declined over the last two years. Only those in top positions are benefiting from perks and high salaries, and there's no interest in hiring new staff to cut costs. In my team, we've lost 2 SDE3s and 3 SDE2s recently, and we’ve only brought on 1 new SDE2 with the same goals and deliverables. There's a lack of real hiring activity; they're just posting jobs to reassure current employees that they're looking for replacements. It seems they're sabotaging senior engineers to bring in cheaper ones.

I also had bad trading experience on that 😣😜

Everything seemed to be on track for my start date. Suddenly, one day out of nowhere I received a Google Meet invite from the Talent Acquisition Leader, who casually informed me that my offer had been revoked, providing no genuine explanation or concern.

After pressing for answers, I was given a vague and nonsensical reason: a "management mistake in deciding hiring needs."  But when I spoke to my internal contacts after a few weeks, I discovered this was all a ploy to cut costs.

My overall experience with the hiring team was very disappointing and unprofessional.  It was evident they were trying to fill positions quickly without any real thought about long-term vision or goals. I would advise using their offer only for negotiating outside. Half the folks inside the company are actively looking outside.

I had a very disappointing experience with a firm. ￼ I had initially supposed to start with them, but five days before they revoked my offer citing investment issues. My previous firm also was not able to take me in because they already had a replaced me so I’m in a very shitty position. What your thoughts should be my next step apart, apart from obviously, looking for job. 

Any one else who had faced similar issues and what are your advice to someone who’s going through this?

So I applied on Coindcx website for an open role about a week ago.

Their HR “manager” called me after CV review and asked general questions like past role, why looking for a change etc. Then came the CTC part. He said my expected CTC is out of their budget as their budget is like 10% increment from my current role but he will try to stretch to 15%, the next day I called and said since I need to move city as well if you can get upto 20, I am good. His response “lets start the process and then we will see”

Next day Round 1. The person join the called and was without camera, even though my camera was on (I always thought its common courtesy to have camera on). From her way of talking it looked she was not prepared or afraid to take interview.

There was no introduction, no hello, we straight away went to interview. She said she will ask 1 DSA question, 1 SQL question then some theory. 

I solved the DSA question, she asked me to add few things I did, now her reaction to this was (I am not able to understand how your code works so I am not sure it will give output).

Then we went to SQL question, her question had incorrect values and I had to point it out to her, I solved that as well with some assumptions as I forgot some syntax. She then forgot the actual output and said your output is incorrect then I showed this is what you asked so she was like okay

Then abruptly we ended the interview when she said please ask any questions which I asked around work, even that she was not answering correctly. It was like either she was not interested or she was afraid.

Within hours I got rejection mail as well.

So either because of CTC they did a formal interview (which  I am like you can say you are out of budget), or if your interviewer is not good please get it fixed.

I recently went through the interview process with Coinbase, and I wanted to share my experience to help others make informed decisions before investing time in their process.

The initial stage consisted of an aptitude test with 40 comprehensive questions to be completed in just 20 minutes, followed by a cognitive test with 100 questions in the same time frame. These assessments were challenging, and as someone with experience in recruitment processes, I can confidently say that results from cognitive and behavioral tests are rarely binary. They typically offer a detailed analysis, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.

A day after the test, the recruiter told me that my results were positive and that I would receive a coding test link. However, after a month of waiting with no further communication, I had to reach out via a general email. The recruiter had never contacted me via email; all communication was through phone calls, which made the process feel unprofessional and disjointed.

When I finally inquired about my status, the recruiter informed me that I did not pass the cognitive test—a complete reversal from what was initially communicated. The explanation was vague and dismissive, leaving me with the impression that my results were never thoroughly reviewed. This feedback was delivered over the phone, without any formal email communication. It felt like my time was wasted, and there was a clear lack of transparency and professionalism.

If this is how Coinbase handles their hiring process, I wonder what their internal culture is like. The lack of transparency, unprofessional communication, and unclear assessment metrics made me question their approach to hiring. I was not the only one who felt this way; the recruiter mentioned that other senior candidates had also expressed similar concerns.

In my opinion, it's not worthwhile to invest your time in Coinbase's interview process unless you're prepared for vague outcomes and poor communication.

Honestly, I feel like funding an overseas company days after a layoff is just attracting unnecessary bad publicity. Makes it seem like (and is probably true, too) that the company cut costs in order to fund their investment. From the company's perspective, it makes sense, yes, but why would you keep the time lines so close? At least CREATE the illusion of caring about people's jobs?

I suppose it really is a sign that layoffs aren't as big a deal anymore as they once were, just "routine".

So one company had scheduled a meeting with me and then at the time of interviewed nobody joined.
Then the HR is giving fake explanations that was very stupid. I am having trust issues now to go and apply for any other interviews , its really bullish they are just wasting our time and energy .

So recently I interviewed at Geekyants and it was horrible. 
 I mentioned about my existing offer and what I wanted before the start of the recruiting process. They took a communication assessment, a coding assessment, two technical assessment and an HR assessment only to give me an offer of 8 lpa ( lower than the offer I had ) with freaking 18 months of bond. 
I remember mentioning that the offer I have is time bound and would appreciate if they fasten the process, I think they thought I would accept their offer given my urgency. Shit behavior.

Ye life stable kab hoga yaar😭🤝🏻 2 saal mei layoff, low perks, unstable company not paying salaries on time and worse location sab dekh liya!
