New covid variant spreading, just as I fell under the weather today. Bad timing 🥲

Anyone based in Singapore or knows someone in Singapore? I Need to know the Covid Situations there as I am hoping to Travel next month with my wife and 2 Kids. Heard COVID is spread again

I understand that companies want to start new year with new energy. But doing it in the last working week of this year is just nuts. Let folks enjoy the year. Do it in Jan first/ second week. By doing now, you’re literally spoiling this year and the next. To founders out there: grow some spine, tell your investors you won’t do it now. I don’t think it’ll hurt your company much (I mean you’ve not done enough, and that’s the reason you’re in this mess, probably suck it up and wait for few more weeks) To the folks out there, who got impacted, my heart goes out to you all. Good luck. Market is tough, but I know you guys will make it.

Recently been seeing a lot of colleagues falling sick ( cold / flu ) and today even I’m down with a cold. Mine I guess could be due to my lack of proper sleep for the last two days. However I’m just curious to know if it’s flu season or are we going to have another covid like outbreak soon.

Please learn to recognise stroke and heart attack symptoms if you don't know already. They are similar to acidity and indigestion. I learnt the hard way today despite having read so much about it. It doesn't always happen like one expects, where patient clutches their heart or starts fainting, it doesn't look very different from common conditions like viral fever. Uneasiness in chest is a huge red flag no one should ignore. I was trying to treat symptoms because he had fever and a few other problems as well since before. Didn't even occur to me that it could be so much worse because I've never seen someone have a heart attack before. He was still walking around and functioning alright, albeit slower and with pain. Thankfully we managed to get to a hospital in time, but we should have gone sooner. The more one delays, the more difficult recovery becomes. I suspect the new covid strain is doing this, seeing a lot of other heart attack patients in the hospital. Please watch out for people with co-morbidities like diabetes, bp problems, cholesterol etc. I hope he pulls through this. Completely shaken today.

In Bangalore Covid cases has started to spike again, please wear mask everyone. Yesterday one person age 62, passed away due to Covid. A leading well known MSME book keeping and Peak XV surged backed startup, has active COVID cases in the office and they are doing nothing about it. I asked the HR and the person was clueless. The positive person themself is informing everyone to be cautious. Health of employees is a joke here. Basic courtesy of informing employees is severely missing. Also not sure what Office Admin/HR leaders plan for our safety. These people will have no impact of their health and their families. I’m expected to come to the office though my work doesn’t require to come to office. I was okay with this. But after hearing Covid cases I have started to feel panicking. Also I have isolated myself from my fam and elderly parents. In Q4 the organization said it would be transparent. This is how it is planning to do that? Our health doesn't matter? :/ Only making things public, makes them take action. Is this what I have to do every time I need them to meet basic expectations? If any other company facing this problem? How are you dealing this? Please share ideas to isolate or precautionary measures 🙏
