Not actually very conclusive scientifically, but I feel this makes a lot of sense. Mental health deterioration and social media usage seem to be increasingly linked.
In Australia, spikes in psychological distress (a general indicator of mental ill-health) are driven by "millennials" and "Gen-Zs".
The most recent Australian data shows that 40 per cent of 16 to 24-year-olds (Gen Z) experienced a mental disorder in the preceding 12 months, an increase from 26 per cent in 2007.
In 2013, 97 per cent of Australian adolescents were already using social media (on any device). A 2017 study found teens averaged more than three hours of social media use a day across at least four different social media platforms.
When looking at these two trends side-by-side, it might appear we have found our solution to youth mental health: restrict screen time.
Mental health is just a joke for the wokes. It was always there my friend. Nothing is easy for anyone. Our ancestors literally fought for their lives, never complained about how their "Mental Health" is and here we are crying for bad marks or less salary. Just hear me out on this, there must be millions who broke up in a single day. About 5% can't handle it at all. Now instead of trying to make their lives better, they hear about this word called "Mental Health" and "Depression" amd then they think pills is the answer. I am sorry to say but it's never the answer...It's just pure addiction. Mental health is just an excuse to pop some pills.
They also had mental health challenges of their own. Just because it wasn’t as commonly discussed about, does not mean it’s a made up concept.
I’ve had someone in my family commit suicide back in the 80s, another person who resorted to alcohol/drugs as a means to cope with sadness (we were lower middle income/middle income)
I know your view sounds good to think about… but you’re not our ancestors, I’m not our ancestors. We can’t just glorify their lives because we have a random positive image about the past.
People say the same about rich vs. poor, but then forget to realize that most mental wards are full with people who are lower income.
Please go with the stats, not with what motivational gurus say.
+1 to the above It's easy to downplay mental health, until you realize what your own loved ones may sometimes are going through

Yup, those who devote themselves to work inevitably do a disservice to their loved ones. That’s why balance is must
These journalists are not even cross checking any news.
Headlines are coming out from someone’s tweet or Instagram post. Poonam pandey’s news is one of the example.
