Nightmare

Been searching for flats for almost a month and did not anticipate it to be so difficult to find a flat with good ventilation and sunlight in what I think is a good budget. Last night in my dream also I was looking for a flat. P.S. did not get one even in my dream🥲

I have been looking for flats for about 2 months now, finally found a decent, affordable place. . In my search for a place in my preferred area, I could not find one place with a per person rent of 15k-20k, esp in a gated society and what is not shady. And then began the search for flatmates These new people get back to me saying they are interested and have been looking for a place for months but are expecting a rent so low that they back off. How do you explain to these people that real estate prices HAVE shot up and are not coming back down? HOW? There's some real frustration I have developed here, not only because of the high real estate prices, but also because of how people here keep waiting, passing up good places in the hope for cheap but good places when clearly that's not going to happen.

Hi there, TLDR; Please guide experienced gv folks how do you search and go about looking for place to stay in a new city and what things to keep in mind? I am trying for opportunities outside my current location. I have no idea about searching independently for a place to stay whilst first time in a city.Also till date since start of my job I found place to stay with my friends or college peers who were in nearby locations luckily.Include the 2-3 years of COVID wfh also so didn't get chance to relocate outside. But now since I am out of touch with many and also don't want to depend on others as they might have other commitments and couldn't be there everytime.I want to be able to find a place on my own.
