Now Apple too delaying bonuses and freezing more hiring

Looks like meta is going for 3rd or 4th ( honestly lost count) round of layoffs . Articles suggest that 5000 folks might be affected 😕 These are the world's largest tech companies and have billions in profits. How can they not know how many employees they need? And once the market opens next year again they will hire rapidly. Is apple the only top tech company that's hiring sensibly?

I previously worked as sales executive in prominent MNC and currently after 1 year of break preparing for CAT and also took medical break in this span, now I am interested in research analyst role in research reporting companies. How do I make shift in my resume and showcase it to the recruiter. I have average communication skills, but pro at making insight out of any article or research report. Company who's hiring leads will be appreciated

Saw open to work status of some folks, wanted to know if there has been any recent layoffs there in tech / product org

I mean I get where he's coming from. I have seen those *day in the life of a ___* videos and always wondered what work do these people even do? But isn't he also responsible for over hiring? That too for an industry that works on thin margins.

My company recently told us that they will be freezing any future hiring. The sad part though is that there are 2 freshers who were supposed to be joining however now their joining will be put on hold. I mean what's the point of hiring someone if you are going to put their joining on hold. Plus the company had invited those guys yesterday where they were talking about the hiring freeze. I don't but since the time I have heard about this, I am feeling sad for those guys.
