OSCP Salary
Hi,
I wonder how much is salary bracket for OSCP,CEH certified with SOC background and looking for a switch in PT or Red Team.
Depends on your work experience and skillset. OSCP does not determine your salary, it only helps you get an interview at best.
5+yrs of experience in soc + security engineering... What are other pre requisites to switch domain into red team..current salary 10LPA
It’s an uphill battle for you. You don’t have any relevant offsec certs nor any experience. Say even if you get the right certs like OSCP, CRTP, CRTO etc it’s going to be really difficult for you to get an interview for an Offsec role given that you come from a SOC background. HTB rank may help but work experience may be a hindrance. You’ll most probably will have to look for entry level roles, I doubt if organisations would consider you for senior roles.
