Imho, it doesn't make a lot of sense. You can't compare this to being a founder of a startup vs being an angel investor in multiple startups coz of the level of active day-to-day involvement. 
  
 A PM will have to get involved in the daily business activities. It's not just about a financial investment for a PM. 
  
 Thinking from the startup's pov, I feel they'd want their PMs to be only their PMs. 
  
 All that said, you could explore being a fractional CPO for multiple 0 to 1 startups but that would mean doing it all under your brand name as an expert and not as an employee of an incubator, so to say! 
  
 PS: I might be wrong. Only your end users can tell you if it'll work or not. Cheers!

I had this idea in mind, that many of us either want to learn something new or create our own product but we either don't have the time or consistency to learn or no time to build huge products alone.

So I'm proposing this, why don't we software Engineers of all experience levels come together and build communities where if someone wants to learn SpringBoot Backend or React Frontend or whatever the stack is, they come along and start working on a product and learn along the way.

To help them, experienced software Engineers come along and if they want they work on it and help the people and guide them with the best practices.

In the case of experienced folks, let's say they decide on several products and we divide the teams based on the expertise and start working on them.

What do we get in return?

Better networking, experience and maybe a few good startups which are built by
us, and they succeed at a product level.


Who is this for?

Anyone who wants to mentor, learn or want to build a product but they don't have people to do that.

Who all are invited?

Senior Engineers, Tech Leads, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Director of Engineering, CTOs and others. Sr folks to help the community.

Let's say we decide on 5 products, make a roadmap on how we want to work and within a year we release these products in the market and maybe maybe we get to work on our own company rather than from others.

if not, then also good karma and networking will be done which will be helpful for this tough time ahead of us.

Today's Junior engineers will be Senior engineers of tomorrow.  Today's Senior engineers will be a great part of management of tomorrow.

Let's build real software and change the way we learn things and do great engineering and learn a lot and earn from the products as well.

I work as a Product manager at a series A well funded startup.
This company is run by a solo founder/CEO.

This is a wannabe tech and product startup that does not care about their product at all. The internal review meetings get 5 minutes on product and 55 minutes on business and operations on a good day!

All they care about is how to run operations and tech just works on automation instead of building the product for the end user. Every OKR cycle runs for two months where OKRs are set for product but we end up building internal tools because things get "re-prioritised" and operations "can not miss targets".

The worst part is that the strategy changes every 2 months and every week, the CEO keeps adding new "wants". Almost like a baby seeing shiny new toys.
At this stage, the product has become a mess with no identity at all!

This baby always says "But is that even do-able" acts critical and tries to seem smart in front of their employees while lying to the investors and board every other week that we are a tech and product company.

I don't know if this happens at other startups in India. 

Would love to hear what y'all have experienced.

Identifying a Baby founder

You sound like a tech bro, who thinks that only tech runs the world. Huge companies like Tata, reliance etc are built on solid operations and business insights.  
  
 Tech is enabler, if the founder is smart with business and operations, most likely he will make a good business, and unless you start valuing things beyond tech also, you will keep hopping jobs and cribbing why people don’t value you.

How do people climb up/become more important in startups as employees?

If they have the right culture then showing excellency in your role, helping out others in the team, having opinions on decisions taken (not just for the sake of it) should help you get closer to the decision makers. 
  
 Remember that at an early stage startup, everything revolves around the product, and you will be rewarded for aligning with that. 
  
 Speaking from experience, you will be involved in "the action" in a team of 30 people either way

Each step or initiative I took has helped me grow as a person, the business guy (ed-tech, media space), and also in terms of technicalities (full-stack product management, hardcore hands-on into technology and I love user experience)
