PayTM employees , could you tell us some insider information
As title says , there are so many narratives going around
Could you give some insight how the management is working upon it
Out of nowhere, in the last 30 days PayTM has been calling all the PhonePe employees, especially employees in functions like sales, growth and finance and offering roles with a pay hike of anywhere between 30% to 100%.
The latest bragging rights at work is “Did you get a call from the PayTM HR?”
There is a 3-month cooling period between these firms. Once you leave Paytm or phonepe, the company cannot hire directly. You have to wait for 3 months and then only join the firm which can be Paytm or phonepe
😂 cooling periods are a joke, nobody cares and barely anyone adheres
Doesn't works like that way... Phonepe cannot stop you. Non-compete are as useless as prenups in India, because they stop you from "Right to work" which is a fundamental right. Many lawyers on YouTube have given detailed video on this. You just don't need to use the information of your previous employer and you are good.
If anyone wants poach meesho employees let me know .
Why would anyone poach meesho employees? Lol
Meesho was poaching employees left right centre before first layoffs. After first layoff, I got a call for sde2 from their HR. I asked for a exorbitant amount, she agreed for that, and ghosted me on interview day lol.
Not sure what’s wrong in this? If employees are happy to move then there shouldn’t be any restrictions
Heard from another friend in sales that they got a call
Interesting! What’s your role and how much did they offer you ?
I recall PJ( dhan founder, ex-Paytm) cribbing on Twitter on Paytm Poaching his employees, guess Paytm HR has got directive to shift their focus!
Poaching of employees in tech companies is a common occurrence as it allows them to quickly acquire skilled workers and gain a competitive edge. It can also offer employees new opportunities for career growth, higher salaries, and better benefits.
However, poaching can also lead to a talent war between companies, driving up salaries and causing instability in the job market.
True but it's likely the poaching method is the brand name and not monetary.
Can confirm this.
How is the culture and wlb at PayTm?
PayTM had really good presence earlier. It was supposed to be other way round. Funny now!

Biz role
Is it worth taking a pay cut and join PhonePe ?
I have heard culture and people are good at PhonePe but at what price ?
What is the expected annual hike in PhonePe? Does it vary for tech vs non-tech roles?
Heard that Paytm is planning to layoff 10% of entire work force. Across all levels.
Heard cases that folks who were hired at market premium less than 30 days ago are now being asked to leave the organisation.
And the layoffs will be h...
