Peculiar Cred App Observation

So short story long, I was just checking out my latest credit card bills and saw a notification in red on the home section of cred app calling out that your app is outdated please install the latest version.

Once I opened the playstore and check the app it showed that no updates were pending but when I opened the app again it showed the same message and when I clicked download latest version it routed me back to the playstore listing and now the message is gone.

Does it qualify as some sort of weird app traffic generation logic?

And the short story long part is Maan I hate my credit card bills wtf. Like can't they just like waive off the bills if I have been paying it on time for years now atleast for one month they be like yeah dude you are paying a lot let cred take some burden off of you.
