Work at a startup
We have a 20k budget for any fitness related expense in the year
It's good cuz it shows the company cares about stuff other than work, and it makes sure people take up at least 1 fitness related activity
Ours has a budget of 40k for this, very beneficial for the gym lads

MacBook for work is not a perk.
A perk should be for personal comfort/leisure.
It actually is. Where I work, we have a beat up laptop that won’t last 1 hour without power. It takes so much time to write code, compile and test, etc. It takes 5-10 minutes to stabilize after a reboot or starting.
All this lost time is added to work. Lack of portability confines you to a desk space which can get counterproductive.
I take up small gigs by the side and use a Macbook. It’s pretty fast with decent battery life (better than 45 minutes lmao) and I generally get more work done.
It’s not an apple-to-apple comparison. But, things do get more streamlined when you don’t have to wait. Waiting kills productivity.
If a slow system is slowing down the workflow it's a matter for the IT dept and managers to solve.
Handing out a Macbook to work should not be at the same pedestal as companies providing considerate leaves or allowance for fitness/upskilling.

My company gives Bday leaves and Friday's off in the month of August.
I find it unique and pretty cool.

I'm not sure about the reason behind the month being Aug.
