It’s disheartening to see 1000s of people being laid off in recent times. Most of them have a family to feed and EMIs / bills to pay. Today it’s them and tomorrow it could be Me and You as well. And it’s pretty much clear that these new age companies are not empathetic and would go to any extent to meet their goals. Why isn’t any employee doing anything about these atrocities? Following are the few ways to send out a strong message to these employers for abusing / blackmailing / and forcing resignations and PIPs (share more in comments) 1. Boycott their products / Services - make a noise about it on social media. 2. Stop subscribing to their IPOs or start dumping their stocks. 3. Uninstall their apps.

Rant alert : Have some really sensible friends (thought so) and we banter about startup business follies. Now I don’t want to be friends with them. What got to me recently was few of them proudly boycotting people from Byjus, Unacqdemy, upgrad or any of the startup’s who were in news for irregularities/bad culture. I thought this was quite insensitive and cruel. I mean - seriously really - let alone trying to make any changes or raise voices, how many of the employees would have had any knowledge of the unethical practices. They can’t even leave the company because of arsehole holier-than-though leaders will reject the resumes as quick hops. Not at all saying there should be a sympathetic view to them, but a fair chance to everyone is warranted. Why treat the employees as some pariah! Such rotten people and it’s ridiculous they talk about empathy the next min. Everyday we are seeing a new level of downfall of startup’s and way of businesses. Why not change the pseudo intellectual, egomaniacal, elitist clannish attitude that founders/leaders used to exhibit.

Since no major media houses from any side of political spectrum are giving it appropriate attention that it deserves, I'm trying to share my understanding with the hope that more people look into it. Sonam Wangchuk's fast unto death has crossed the 20 day mark. It deserves your attention to be looked into and analysed before dismissing it or backing it. Please do your own research after this as my understanding can be an leaky abstraction ie. something that doesn't capture all nuances. What are the major demands of Sonam Wangchuk and the Ladakh protests? 1. Statehood and Sixth Schedule implementation: Ladakh is currently a union territory. He is calling for Ladakh to be recognized as a state and for the implementation of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India. This provision will provide autonomy and restrict the land rights of tribal areas to the local natives. 2. Two seats instead of one seat in the Parliament: Wangchuk is advocating for separate Lok Sabha seats for Leh and Kargil districts instead of one seat for both - with the goal to ensure that both the regions within Ladakh are adequately represented. 3. Separate local recruitment process for administrators: Currently, Ladakh administrators are selected via UPSC. He demands the establishment of a separate recruitment process and a Public Service Commission for Ladakh citing the unique needs and characteristics of the region. 4. Protection against industrial exploitation: Wangchuk is raising concerns about the potential for industrial exploitation in Ladakh, given its current status as a Union Territory. He is asking for regulations to protect the ecosystem from any future industrial exploitation.

This realisation is purely a selfish thing, which led me to think of reasons behind my friends supporting the BJP. I absolutely hate BJP's hate, religion, divide&rule politics, and I'm sure most BJP supporters themselves also hate that, but they don't have a choice like most of us. If you are supporting BJP, you fall in one of the following categories for sure: 1. Your family supports them, so you have to. 2. Someone in your family is a small/big BJP related politician. 3. You have seen/used the perks of supporting them i.e local influence. 4. You are a businessman/entrepreneur who benefited from their policies and believes they will help you further as well. 5. Brainwashed blind faith in Modi. 6. You are a Hindu and you blindly hate Muslims. 7. No trust in the opposition party. What other reasons? Tell me in the comments, what were your reasons to vote for the BJP. Now coming to my reason: I don't want to see the stock market bloodbath, i have invested a lot and for sure the market will go down 20-30% if the BJP loses. But glad i didn't vote for them.
