I can't believe the hype - the LinkedIn masturbation pre presentation was annoying. The teams were n00bs and presented like 7th grade kids in elocution (I'm looking at you Sama Patkar). The ideas were juvenile, classic Excel sheet circus, and none of the judges grilled them. I mean really guys if you think this is growth - it's 2000. My CMO and plenty of untalented marketing folks i know would've ripped this shit apart. I kept waiting for something to learn. But what a waste of 3 hours.

Is it just mine or is everyone’s LinkedIn blowing up with absolute crap. Like the most basic thing people are posting and making it sound like they discovered something huge or they’ve found some crazy insights. 

Everyone is trying to build their own LinkedIn brand and it’s just become frustrating. 

A lot of recruiters/founders still put out hiring posts on LinkedIn 

Some funny posts - 

- All founders acting like they’ve achieved something huge by being on the Forbes/times now/etc 40 under 40 list 
- Today someone posted about the business model of Shyamji Chole Bhature 
- People copy pasting the same fake stories

Every random founder is now a guru of some sort trying to monetise their content. I used to really look forward to stories from indian founders and their journeys. Hardly any founder is genuine.

We really need some podcasts like a16z, acquired, brand wars for real insights/stories. I can only think of think school which is doing podcasts/videos closer to the firangi ones.

Any podcast recommendations which you did not find faffy or global gyaani?

The same feed was filled with posts showing off joining gift last year. 
What is happening. Why is it happening. Who is responsible for this. I am totally not sure.

NextLevel, a failed product that did not work as expected has launched an absolute random Podcast Series. 

I think when founders lose their sense of direction, they start doing random experiments. 


Also, the lady in this post has been popular for burning company money in random projects at brands like Zomato, Wework and now doing the same thing at Graphy and Unacademy. I wonder how do such people even get hired.

I have been watching LinkedIn for a while and recently it feels all the comments seems and feels like ppl trying to present themselves and glorifying the post, like chatufying, those making meaningful comments are discarded or ignored completely. 

I feel LinkedIn has failed as a platform, ppl who can game the platform get visibility rest who are good and genuine don’t get calls or visibility at all.

This might be a reason why everyone is trying to game the platform rather then learning and having skills

From what I hear, they are speaking to themselves and passing it off as an interview. The constant bombardment is really annoying after a while. Who all have you seen do it?

Its just sad to see so many content creators(personal branding experts being the most of them) utilize linkedin to promote their instagram photos with a wall of text that is completely unrelated.

What the heck is happening with Linkedin?

Startup founders have started coming to podcasts or they themselves started podcasts just to be in limelight, talk all about positives and planning for IPOs.
I have never seen these founders are asked about recent layoffs, removing benefits to employees or not making any profits at all.

This has been happening for quite sometime - I have posts/reels 🧾 on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Chrome bookmarks 📌 with the hope of going thru them sometime. 
However, next day new content comes, save them again, and never open them. The cycle repeats 🔃.

Do the cringe content creators on LinkedIn ever contemplate on the cringe that they post based on the comments/feedback and improve their posts? Or do they just listen to Shake it Off by Taylor Swift on repeat? 

I’m genuinely interested in knowing if there are any content creators who have gone from cringe to useful content based on feedback received from the audience.
