Product Leadership in India

What do you think of product leadership in India? Most of the startups are either shutting shop or are not in a good shape when it comes to economics. Do you think it was because fundamentally the products scaled before getting good unit economics and profitability at early stage? Isn’t this the job of product and leadership to identify this early on ? Doesn’t growth at all costs comes at a cost? Post your answers in this thread
