Product Roadmaps
Hey folks, I am currently a PM Intern and was tasked to create a product roadmap. I have no clue where to get started. I have checked for resources online and learnt a little bit but still really confused where to start. Would appreciate any resources you could share with me. Ps. There are no senior PMs here who I can go and understand how to do this from. Thanks
Let’s start with the basics -
You should know what are the top challenges of your product are, what the top opportunity areas are, user feed backs and bugs.
Start listing out the features that come out of these line of thoughts.
Once you know what all can be built, you’ll need to know what needs to be built first-
Go for a simple prioritisation framework like RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidance, Effort) and consult your manager on what’s in priority with stakeholders too.

Do not think of filling up the roadmap with features but with opportunities—the opportunities can have a compounding effect later.
Think about how you can link an opportunity to the strategy.
