Quant role resources

I got selected as an Quant intern in one of the trading companies. I will be joining them in June, so what are some topics I should go through before joining so that things will become somewhat easier for me. If you can share some resources it would be really helpful.

Always wondered what does the work comprise exactly? Does one do maths all day or little coding with maths? Are the high paying jobs really that stressful? If we are looking to switch from SDE to quant roles, what to focus on? TIA. P.S. From the OAs of some high-end quant roles it seems that they really get into the nitry gritty of a language like C++ and focus on lots of maths, and not much DSA. Do correct me if am wrong.

Can anyone tell me how quant roles are like in India (Trading & Research)? Wlb, perks, roles etc

Hello everyone, I am a Quant intern at a trading firm and Currently pursuing btech in Computer Science from one of the prestigious IIIT ,24 Batch. My 7th sem is going to start from next month. I am developing some algo's for market analysts and I think I am not learning any tech stack from this as these algo's are developed using some basic tool provided by the company. There are very less chances of PPO and even the timings are from 11am to 10pm. So due to these timings I don't get any time to prepare for other companies for oncampus placements. I am writing this post to ask should I leave the company and prepare for on campus placements or continue working here. As I can continue my intern during the sem coz there is no attandance criteria in my college.

I know desk analyst from top 3 NITS have base of 18L , heard the same was about 24L for top 7 IITs. But these are for smallers firms like iRageCapital, Parker Wright. Read in news that firms like gavitron is paying 60L base, while this season Jane street took few students from IITK for 4cr in hong kong region. What about midsize firms like squarepoint capital, madison cube ?

I transitioned from a data analyst to python and R developer in credit risk model development . Does that make me a Quant Developer? If not! how can I transition into that?
