[Rant] Chief of Staff is just a fancy title
Chief of Staff is like the Badi Bahu (eldest daughter-in-law), expected to fix 3 decades of shit work culture
One of my bosses introduced me as "She follows me wherever I go" Am I the Hutch dog?! (If you don't know Hutch dog, you are way too young)
It can be a rewarding role only if you know how to set firm boundaries; otherwise, people gonna take advantage of you.

Woh sab theek hai
Lekin yess I am really glad someone recalled the hutch dog
Moreover, Hutch ads had dope songs
"Everyday I want to shine stay by my side"
And
"You and I in this beautiful world" to name a few

Personal opinion: I feel you miss a lot of domain knowledge which is gained during initial YOE. I was chief of staff at early stage of my career and I couldnโt see future growth and substantial learning. I left it then worked on different projects to get better deep learning of those metrics.

Probably but I don't think I'm made to fall in a mould. Generalist calls me, solving problems gives me kick. I'll go sit talk to people, departments, asking them questions, learning to speak their language.

Future growth dekhlena that after 10 or so years what position you will hold if you continue this. That clarity I think all of us require in our roles.

Should have just added - not everywhere ๐ to mess with the boss

Should have ๐ but it was client call so haha jokes ๐โโ๏ธ๐
