Rant: People who have large salaries but still unhappy
I cannot understand people who have a large salary but still crib about wanting more and more salary. I mean shut up and go do something good for your family or friends or yourself with your money. More money is not going to bring you happiness. Making good use of what you already have will. Stop with the 1960s Indian mindset of saving up all your money inside a freakin locker/bank
Umm, you can always want more, as long as that's what makes you happy.
To each their own. We've mostly grown middle class and getting out of the :wanting more" mindset ain't easy

More money - it's a vicious cycle. I am expending in lakhs. Various things, now ten lakhs is not enough per month.

The moment you realize that it is actually enough is a watershed moment from mental health persepective
I totally get the point and I too (although I don’t have a very high luxurious salary but comfortable enough to) crib about it certain times.
But I can’t help.
Having grown in a middle class family and being from a very small township in eastern India, the goal to happiness always seems so far.
Learn to spend as well my friend. Us middle class people are not good at spending for happiness
Most people want to live luxurious AND save plenty of money. To do both, you need a ton of money, maybe 150 LPA or more. Almost no one earns that much in India
That salary you mentioned gives you a tax bill of > 60 lacs in India without actually providing any benefits. Just saying.

The only person satisfied with his salary after say 1-2 lakhs a month is always one who can control their expenses, not the one getting higher salary. There is no extent to the spending one can aspire to.

What is the problem I make good money and pay off my loans and work my ass off to earn more. I don't see any issue here. Maybe you need to earn more.
Purchase a house in tier 1 city - you will never have “more money” for rest of your life
They're chasing more money thinking it'll bring them happiness while sacrificing their happiness and not enjoying what they make. Ironic.
Date karne mein 2-3 lakh ka kharcha ho jaata hai ek mahine mein, 5Lakh/month is very less to survive.
You guys are getting Salary ? Imagine the GIF. You know which one I am talking about.
For me, it is about the outcome of my performance. If I brought crores worth of goodness to the company over the year, and currently my peers are paid like 15% more than me. Then, I would ask for more salary. Because that is a fair compensation to my work done.
