(Rant) Why are most women least bothered about men's mental health ?

I grew up with 5 sisters (1 real and 4 cousin), I am aware about the pain and the tribulation that women go through and have always been supporting women in general. I was shocked to see the opposite when I stepped into the real world. Most women whom I have met have only disposed me after using my resources. Be it a friend or even a prospective gf. Even my lady therapist offered the same solution indirectly by saying that things work differently for men. I have always responded to their rants and have comforted them. But when it was my chance to vent out, they were like YOU ARE A MAN YOU SHOULDNT BE BOTHERED BY MENTAL ISSUES, FOCUS ON YOUR WORK. I feel bottled up and sometimes end up breaking down. These are the people I have been knowing for ages. The other day I randomly started slapping myself for no reason in the washroom. I dont feel like I am being heard. I dont want such a life where I am being left alone for feeling the same things a woman would feel. I feel that the only thing I am good for is making money. Afterall, thats what men are supposed to be. This is a punishment for breaking my mould and I accept that. I have been very empathetic so far. NEVER AGAIN. I love myself and only myfuckingself nowww. There is this book called "Men are from jupiter Women are from venus" which clearly states that when women are in misery, make them feel heard. And when men are in misery, leave them alone. QUEEN , RATHER PLS K!LL US ALREADY. Why are kind men being subjected to the punishment which bad men (rapist, dowryfreaks, cheaters) deserve? Why do I see bad men getting so much attention and respect? Why are we still adulating Ranbir Kapoor's charachter for cheating on Rashmika just coz Tripti was attractive? Being emotional is such a curse for men ! Dear men, Please focus on your LPA and provide for your parents, future wife ,and kids, and when youre old enough, JUST ROT AND D!E. The moment you dont, you will be treated like hell.

I am sorry to hear what you are going through OP. I wish people around you heard you out so that you could feel better. If you ever feel like just venting out to a stranger you can message send me a message. About what you have been feeling, a lot of it comes from years of expectations set for men and women. I see some men around who don't speak out and have such unhealthy ways of taking out that frustration. Most of the time they are used to acting strong and unfortunately consider that as a sign of manhood. We have many notions for women too, the world is unfair in different ways :) Please find a different therapist and get things out. Sending you strength and good wishes

@StanleyHudson I'm really sorry for what you are going through now, but maybe I think you are yet to find the right one. Be it a friend or a partner, emotional connect is what makes the relationship live longer.. Understanding is what matters. The right one will not make you to doubt yourself like this. Never care about society, you be yourself. You are one of those gems who is empathetic ✨✨..With the right person, you won't feel like this I promise!! May you find the right one

You are a man, and life will be tuff for you be default. You have already experienced yourself the treatment you got by trying to be expressive in front of females. I have no idea on ranbir and that nonsense because i dont watch bollywood movies, but i will tell you a bitter truth - A man is nothing more than the money he earns. The moment you stop bringing in the money - you will be asked questions, not bcoz they care for you, but they care abt who is going to pay bills and let us maintain the living standard (only exception- parents)

Not justifying but women have grown up in the same society that men have, the one which tells them to 'man up', 'not cry'. You gotta change, and others will follow. Don't fall back in the same lines and continue the same with your kids But pointing out to your Ranbir point, Tripti's beauty was not a reason/excuse. He was MARRIED, hence cheated.

@BiryaniEnthu I appreciate your opinion. To add onto that, atleast women have the luxury to bond and share their ordeals with their fellow female companions. We men are only mocked at for complaining. Imagine being tormented by your own gender folks. Have a look at how civilized women are on grapevine. And then have a look at how men treat other men on this platform. Sounding vulnerable is more vulnerable than being vulnerable. Worst male community support. Offcourse, men have other perks which women dont get. Thats just life being unfair to BOTH OF US. I wish I could trade those perks to avail this one. And regarding that animal movie thingy, I kinda felt that both Ranbir and Tripti were jacka**es Lol. The only sane charachter from that movie was Shakti Kapoor (because he didnt act at all, I bet most of us dont even remember him being there).

🫂 there there buddy, I know what you're feeling. Like you and others said, both sides have their own advantages and problems. I would suggest reading The Rational Male if you want to try and make sense of the gendered world. But it is still West-oriented, nothing specific for Indian context as such. You will still find good men who will give you your space and you will also find women more empathetic to men. Just gotta look hard in the right places. I was fortunate enough to find good male friends who I can vent anything with. Still very few women I can do that with. Gotta accept the biological and social differences, men and women aren't and will never be equal. It is what it is.
