Reality of rents in HSR/Koramangala/Madiwala

People laughed at me when I asked for decent living spaces below 10k at these locations. It took 2 days, i went for a walk in the streets of Koramangala and HSR layout. And found multiple 1rk's less than 8k and multiple 1bhk's less than 12k. There are a lot of furnished 1bhk apartments with rent ranging from 15k to 18k. To all the people who are new to Bangalore, don't fall prey for hefty rents, do roam in and around the surroundings.. you will find good places within the budget. Surprisingly there are plenty of vacant spaces and soon the prices will come down.

All real estate platforms are full with brokers and builders. Real landlords are still sitting in there homes waiting for right tenent. So roam around the city lanes and you will find the property that matches your budget. I did it Mumbai and I am doing same in blr for buying property.

You seem to be referring to group houses or independent houses probably with no facilities like lift, 24 hour backup, security etc. Almost all the apartment owners use online portals now. And HSR, Koramangala giving a furnished 1 BHK for less than 12k is not possible. What apartment is it? I live 10 min away from HSR layout and own a flat. 35,000 for a 3 BHK is minimum. Add maintenance too. 2 BHK is 25k. In much bigger apartments the rent is even higher.

I meant for Semi Furnished, i won't expect Furnished ones below 15 to 20k. Yeah all the properties I visited were independent houses and most of them are 2 floors.

You literally made a mountain out of a mole. 2 floors houses probably where even the stairs would be cramped, just get the work done type basic kitchen setup. I doubt if they even have an electric chimney. They are not called apartments in the first place. Nevertheless, you may have seen most of these in first or worst 2nd or 3rd floors where no families would accept. They are left overs waiting for bachelors. You would struggle even to get a washing machine or a fridge to be lifted there by labourers. Such houses are relatively cheaper. It's nothing new. You are probably new to Bangalore or New to house hunting.

😛 why would I lie ? I really found the properties below 12k, even today i have seen 1 2bhk for 16k. You have to negotiate, 1bhk you can get for 12k easily. If you want furnished ones, that's a different thing.
