Recruiter asking for money
My friend just landed a job at a well-known MNC. However, the recruiter is requesting payment for their efforts in securing the position for my friend. How can we handle this situation tactfully?

Is the recruiter from the company or from a recruitment firm?
If company - please let the hiring manager know about this. This is wrong.
If recruiter is from a recruitment firm - first inform the hiring manager/HR from the company they received offer from, then refuse to pay.
Definitely name these companies and recruiters. You have at least brought this to GV, but imagine if the recruiter is doing the same with other candidates who might be bullied into paying. It took a long time for the recruitment system and fraternity to move out of such practices and we should not be going back into those times.
They didn’t mention any fixed amount. She is insisting give something. Now that’s another mind trick I know
Hmmm.. if your friend think that she has genuinely helped a lot for him to get that job and the salary asked, just give her a good treat. That's all.
If she is playing politics just because of not giving money, report it.

Which company is this? Possible to share the name? Sounds quite strange
As your friend has already received the offer letter, has joined the company - s/he can politely tell the recruiter to f### off!!
There is no relevance of a recruiter post the offer has been accepted and the candidate has joined.
