Resume tips
Hi everyone, is it a good idea to add your photo to your resume? also, is it bad if it’s more than one page? also, does colour, font, etc have to be standard for creative roles as well? any other tips would be really appreciated!
Replying as someone who goes through CVs regularly for hiring - there are a few things that you can do to increase your chances of a shortlist (assuming that you qualify the requirements from a skill/education POV)
- Try to structure the CV in a way that all the important information is easy to see at a single glance. Clearly defined sections for education, processional experience, certifications, etc should help
- Avoid putting too much text while mentioning roles and responsibilities unless it is something that helps your case for the role in question
- Feel free to use colors, fonts, etc as long as it makes your resume easy to read
- If you are planning to make your CV a multipager, ensure that all the important information is available on the 1st page itself. Not everyone may have the time to read through multiple pages of a CV to look for relevant information
- Note: Your job is to highlight things on your CV that get you a shortlist, you might have seen your CV for the nth time - The hiring manger is looking at it for the 1st time. Help them to navigate through your CV as easily as possible
Photo is your choice- it doesn't impact anything. Keep <1 page unless you have a lot of work ex (7+ years)
Font should be standard, colors etc can be played around with for creative roles

Lie..lie..lie.... As Much as possible.the more fake credentials you add the better chance of interview.
