Depends on the manager. 1. Manager might bring it up sarcastically if the tasks which you were working gets delayed due to unavoidable reasons. 2. You might get more work and you cannot deny it. Leading to burnout or WLB issues.

Never, i repeat never every take retention offer from existing company. Remember the reason you started looking out in the first place. Also now your manager knows that you are looking opportunity and have flight risk, so might impact future projects and growth perspective.

If the retention offer was in their budget, why were they underpaying you in first place. Ask them that, and then quit like a gangsta.

Onsite after resignation?

Hi viners, I have resigned in April from tcs and have 40 days left but today I got a call from management and they are giving me ladoo on UK ka onsite and asking me if I consider. Although I clearly told them that people having more than 15 16 yoe are not getting an onsite opportunity how come I get ? Still they told me to consider. So viners community pls help me what should I do? I know it's onsite lolipop which is almost impossible but I'm still asking. It's a food for thought for me. Please give your suggestions. Thanks viners.

Right now I am looking for a new job because of a layoff in my own company. I have recently applied for a new job. I didn't get a hike and they even decreased the basic pay in their shared CTC Structure. The in-hand is the same as my previous company but my basic salary is impacted. Should I accept the offer or let it go?

I got to know that budget for the role i interviewed is in range of 20-25 LPA. My last drawn salary itself is lower than the market standards. The company wouldn't give hike more than 30% considering my experience in the role domain. But I have performed well in all my interview rounds. Any tips from the community to negotiate for atleast the lower band of their budget?

Ever Rejected an offer just for growth in skills

Hi Folks, Have you guys ever rejected an offer just because you thought maybe after 1 year I will get something better? I'm currently working as a consultant. I got an offer in a core product based company that too for a senior position. I got a decent hike approx 40 percent and stocks as well I have switched 3 companies in my career of 4 years (currently working in 4th). This is seen as a red flag by interviewers. And I also strongly believe I have some growth in my current company (skill wise not money and promotion). But in terms of Promotion or Money I have to wait a lot. The hikes are expected to be around 10 percent max in the month of November and for Promotion I have to wait till next June 2025 probably. What should I do now please advise 🥺
