Salary and job switching

Hi, I have been working in Infosys for past 3.5yrs. my starting salary wad 5lpa and now it's 8lpa. I feel I should be compensated more based on work that I put into my projects for which the most feasible option would be to switch. Hence, I need some advice related to job-switching from fellow software engineers who have already been able to do that. My skills are Java-spring boot , react , sql, github copilot, kubernetes, What other skills do I need to know to be able switch comfortably? Kindly suggest some websites where I should be applying from. In the coming days maybe after March would be good time to apply, don't you think? What scope do I have in product based companies? TIA

Hey everyone, I am currently working as a security analyst working for a company that provides pentesting as a service to its clients. I am getting paid 17lpa fixed salary. I earn 80-90k from freelancing every month pre taxes. So should I switch or not. It's been 3 years I am in this company and I can't see much growth now. I will be doing the same work. The work is full remote and the culture of company s also nice and workload is fine. What should I do? Should I look for a product based company but most of them call onsite. I want remote work only that is mandatory.

Currently I'm earning 30Lpa including variable pay in a product based company with good financial records , wife works in WITCH . What are the criterias to consider for evaluating the startup and the offer. Is it worth it to switch now ?

Hi All I have 2.5 YOE as an analyst, currently working as an senior product analyst with CTC of 15L fixed + 5L ESOPs. I have only been in product since start of career and have a set path to becoming an APM at my firm by next cycle in Dec. Recently I wanted some building experience and I have built a few web and mobile apps and I found coding is very interesting. I’m having thoughts about switching careers because of 2 reasons: 1) Money - although I believe I’m underpaid (cause I received offers of 22L fixed for role of product analyst in past but chose not to switch because of market volatility.) But in long run, I believe being tech is going to make a lot more money compared to product roles (I have friends with 1-2 YOE making 26L fixed) and the remote opportunities. 2) Skills Product is mostly soft skills and tech is more hard skills driven. With amount of layoffs in PM roles, I think tech is just a safer bet. Also given I don’t hate coding. I think I would happily code compared to doing things like user calling/ making review decks/ following up with other teams meticulously/ writing PRDs. One specific question I have is: what are things in tech role that are not very fun to do but still part of JD?

I've 5 years of experience as a Salesforce developer. My current CTC is 11.5L What is the average market value in the current situation for 5 years exp Salesforce Developer? How much hike can I get if I switch in this situation? Is it a good time to switch the company ?

Hello all, what are your takes on switching Companies every 4-6 years (or other frequencies) v/s staying in one company for longer duration like 10-20 years? Note: While staying at the same company, one should stay relevant and try to evolve rapidly as well. Taking on new challenges, moving to different teams/verticals will be a part of it. It won't be like staying in just one role, doing the same work every day, expecting a hike/promotion someday. While switching, money would definitely get double or tripled, but considering an ideal/hypothetical situation where someone is making 'good enough salary' from the beginning of their career itself, and then the fact that the more we wait, the compensation would compound down the lane.

I am working as SAP analyst in KPMG, with 7LPA fixed. I want to switch now, i have 2 years of exp. How much can i expect ?

I have a strong passion in tech. I’m almost a nerd. The thing is, I never wanted to study the conventional indian way and therefore I don’t have a good academic record. 10th : 8.8 gpa 12th: 71 % Joined a civil course even though i loved tech, regretted and moved to another university after completing 2 years of civil. Completed graduation with a degree in ECE and an 8.1 GPA due to covid. My professional record is quite average with a 12.65 LPA offer as an SDE, 1 YOE. The thing is, I crave money. The current market situation and the opportunities available currently does not seem decent for me to switch and get a 20~30 LPA job. Therefore I am considering higher studies. I need some advice from people who have been there and done that. Share your opinion/suggestions, lets discuss!

I have 8 years of experience in sales , business development and that too in India ( so you can understand the work culture) I have closed many clients some of them are big ones in UAE and USA. I am looking to move to product management and really want to move to a stable job as I am the only earning member of my family.
