Salary for PM role with 12 years of experience

Is it 12 years of hard core pm experience? Or total experience of 12 years? IMO, PM roles are so diverse across orgs and industries that there is no standardization of experience w.r.t years. There might be folks with 10+ years of product management experience but might have just done majorly product owner kinda tasks. So the salary you will get in a new org will be a function of what value you bring to the product problems they have.
