[Startup Idea] Gift Financial Asset to your loved ones!
Hi guys, I would like to get your feedback on the idea of stock gifting. Its simple if you want to gift someone you can use the platform to gift financial assets (FD, MF, Stocks, Digital Gold etc) Things I'm already aware and got feedbacks are 1. People want to gift someone something tangible 2. Most of the people are not aware about financial asset (<10% pop) 3. Regulatory/Compliance issues (which of course as a startup will solve) What other issues might be there, and if there is way to gift will you use it. **Note** Not my original idea

Yes they do provide it, the issue is lets say I want to gift my friends on his wedding I don't want to go into the hustle of buying the stock first and then asking my friend his details.
If it's as simple as scanning a QR code and I'm done more people will adopt to gifting financial assets.

And I don't want to limit it to stock.
People want to gift digital gold, FDs, MFs, crypto, and maybe other digital assets

I want to start thinking from the point - “Why in India during marriages or other major celebrations they give in cash packets?”
Even when it’s too cumbersome to handle cash and distribute.
That's easy.
1. Black money
2. You want to be discreet if you are giving less and don't want the Paytm box to chime in how much money you gave
3. Black money
Arey, handling black money in india is very easy. We saw even demonetisation wasn’t able to remove black cash. Gifting cash would be last choice as you can’t go beyond a certain value & frequency of such events is less.
There’s a photo moment associated with gifts/prize/awards, it’s fundamentally different than doing an inconspicuous, online transaction.
You should start talking to people in “gift card” space. It will help you learn how people perceive gift cards in public, corporate events.

Looking for feedback/suggestions/opinion and in general do you think there is need, there is market? I know there is way to gift through Zerodha but that has lot of constrains (like both sender and receiver need to have the Zerodha account), another thing you might ask why Zerodha/Groww is not doing it maybe its not their main focus (if someone from who is working there can share more)
