[Startup Series] Q2. To founders, how do analyse VC/investors for funding?

Can someone here share first hand experience as an founder or as a core member, the experience they had when they approached a venture capitalist/investor to raise funds for their business? I have scanned a lot online but couldn't find any valuable post where people shared their experience trying to raise funds for the first time in India!

Asking this on behalf of many founders like myself, wanted to collate across multiple inputs: what is it that VCs really want to hear/see from a startup? Would love to get inputs from VCs and other founders alike - basis your experience on what has worked what hasn't worked. The usual suspects: obviously the founder credentials, TAM, insights, metrics. But, what else? Look forward to informed answers.

Guys going to start for preparing for interviews at VC firms. What is the general interview structure? What type of questions are asked in the interview?

What questions would you ask to evaluate if you should join an early stage startup in this market? The objective is to ensure job longevity, avoid getting laid off and experience a reasonable amount of growth. Is there anything else that we can do apart from asking questions to the company folks?

I have seen VCs usually don’t reply to cold emails and they have a clear rule before investing in any startup. Any VCs out here who can respond to this query. What’s your take over it fellow VC grapeviners ?
