Study Unveils Why Men Really Care About Their Beards
- A Polish study found men motivated by social status and competition are more likely to maintain facial hair. - Facial hair serves as a self-presentation strategy to enhance social standing. - Men with higher gender role stress and intrasexual competition invest more in their facial hair. - The study involved 414 heterosexual men aged 18-40, assessing their social motives and facial hair care habits. - Results suggest men use facial hair to signal masculinity and protect against gender role stress. It doesn't work that way. The face in the 2nd photo doesn't grow the beard in the 1st photo.
Plus, if you have a jawline then no beard is better as that accentuates it. This study make it seem like Poland doesn't have people with jawlines.
