Switch From PM -> VC

A bit about myself, I am working as a PM in an early stage B2C startup with 2.5 YOE which includes internships too. I was exploring finance out of curiosity and started loving it. Grasped few important concepts around valuation, thesis building, identifying crazy startups and much more. Also, started Venture Scouting for one of the tier-2 VCs in Europe. I am looking to switch to a analyst role in of the VCs which focuses on B2C investments in insurtech, AI, and fintech. What would be the best possible ways to reach to Indian Tier 2 VCs, and what are the other things that I can do to stand out strong? Need help and thanks in advance.

PM vs VC track.

Yoe: 2 years Tc:32 lpa fixed. Bg: top 5 IIT, 2 years of PM experience where I led two major 0-1 products to completion independently and had a direct revenue impact of around 25 Cr. At a crossroad in my career where a top partner in a tier 1/2 VC firm wants me join his investment team (nothing concrete, just expressed his interest in a gathering). Was curious as to how the VC career ladder looks like! I was always interested in a VC career. Just afraid, whether there will be any exit options say 5 years down the line if I want to move out or get stuck. All advice, opinion, help will be appreciated. Thanks!

MBA as a PM

Hi, I know it’s a much debated topic but I wanted honest views of my fellow grapers/viners/grapeviners. How valuable is an MBA as a PM? What are the trade-offs - MBA vs Non MBA? Does it affect the career 10 years down the line? About myself: I’ve 3.5 years of work experience as a PM in the BFSI sector. I did my engineering from a tier 1 institute and started my career as a PM. Currently wondering what to do next. The learning experience in the current company has been below par as of today with no signs of improvement. I would like to explore VC, PE but I’m happy with PM too. If you are pro MBA, bonus points for suggesting any relevant courses. If against, then please suggest any upskilling resources 🙌🏻 TIA
