Hello all, I have 2 years in embedded software developement. I come from ECE background and want to switch my domain to VLSI. I am undergoing training and working on Front End Design and Verification projects. 
All the openings I see on LinkedIn or anywhere is either for 3+ years experience or interns who are in college. Forget cracking the interview I don't know how to get the opportunity to face one.
I don't know where am I going wrong. Can someone please let me know how can I get opportunities? Please advise 🙏. Thanks

"Hey everyone!  I recently got campus placed in a fantastic company with a great package, focusing on web development. However, I've developed a strong interest in embedded systems and would love to pursue a career in that field. The only challenge is that I don't have any professional experience in embedded systems, aside from working on a few projects.

I have 1 year of experience at IIT Madras, where I have worked in Analog RFIC SoC design using 65nm CMOS tech, analog layout design, DRC, LVS, PEX, EMX, test bench, performance verification, Hardware RFIC SoC verification using FPGA and Embedded boards, verilog HDL, VHDL, python. Through these roles, I have developed skills in FPGA programming, verilog HDL RTL coding, Python, Embedded programming, Cadence layout and schematic analysis and performance verification.

I have roughly 4 years of experience in mobile engineering, specializing in native iOS and Flutter development. I currently enjoy my role and am successful in it. 
However, recent discussions about the IT market have prompted me to consider a career switch to VLSI, leveraging my degree in ECE and recent proficiency in electronics, honed through GATE preparation.

Hey guys a master's student here . So it's finally that time of year placements have started and the first companies to arrive are the hardware companies like micron , TA etc 

So here's the question is it ok to start your career in these companies considering they are not SDE profiles ? I am aware that the highly specialised roles that these companies offer will end up becoming dead end in longer run . They are offering position only for the masters students 

How difficult would it be to transition into different core cs  companies? 

My coding skills are not that great , still grinding out leetcode ? 

Should I just end up joining these hardware companies or wait and try to crack sde positions ? (The competition is extremely high for those companies and undergrads are great coders)

Hi everyone, I've been working as an embedded system engineer at a startup for almost two years. I'm not satisfied with my salary and the work, I'm looking at other options for me but I am not able to figure out where to apply, there are a couple of startups but they don't pay as much and big companies don't ever respond to messages or applications.

Kinda lost here, wondering what to do.

My current TC is 10LPA and I am looking to get at least 15 LPA.

How to get in to product companies from service based with 5 to 6 years of exp

I'm currently working as DSE at Infosys from june 2022 ,i am willing to make a switch to a product based company, but I'm getting almost no interview calls, only calls that i get are mostly from small startups. Can anyone suggest me on how to secure interviews

Hello viners! I'm a 2023 B.Tech graduate from Tier-1 college. My offer has been delayed so I'm looking for software engineering opportunities, both full-time or internship would do. I looked a lot on LinkedIn and other job boards but most of the openings have a min. 1 year experience required.

I'm creating this post for people who are hiring freshers and for freshers who are looking for opportunities including me. I request people who have any leads to put it in the comments (startups are most welcomed). There are a lot of guys like me who are struggling so please take some time out and help us. Anybody hiring for freshers?

I am aged 30 ,UM ,Male , have been working in IT for close to 9 years now . But I never had an option to quit this job  due to my family financial situations. Now I saved enough money for my parents. I want to switch my career to Semiconductors technology (Chip designing, Physical design etc ). I don’t have any prior experience or not even workshops experience in that field but I always wanted to be. It might sound like foolish thought, but I feel like hell here doing this job without any interest (but I always received outstanding feedback from my leadership as well as clients). If I continue here , my next designation would be Manager.

Long story but here are my questions …

1. Should I continue in IT or switch my career ? 
2. I won’t get same package as that I m getting ryt now But Does organisations accept my reason and provide an opportunity aa fresher ? 
3. As I m unmarried and don’t have anyone other than my parents as my dependents and habituated to a peaceful for quite some time, Is it a good decision to pursue my career now , knowing the fact that I might struggle with financial needs.? 

Your genuine answer could help people like me who are trapped in this kind of dilemma.. TIA

Also, is it even fine to switch right now as per market conditions?

I work at a good MNC with 10 billion dollar + revenue, but I joined here as a fresher so I get paid less.
