You may also want to study invasions in India and history around loot, dismantling monuments, fire, change of governments. And of course geography.
You will get the reason.
This is NOT a religious angle. Stop making everything around religion
These people don’t have any idea about the history and bring random vanity metric to build a dreamy hypothesis.
Pls start learning on how to read a map :) It says temples per lakh population :)
That is what I meant.
Searching on bing gave the j&k S population as 125,41,302.
Searching on Google gave me the number of temples in J&K as 1100
Dividing the population by the number of temples gives the number of temples per person. Which is about 11000. Multiply by 10 and we get 10 temples per 110000 people.

Number of temples is not the right metric. Number of temples older than 100 /500 years in the right metric. Thats when you know which state suffered the most aggression from invaders.
TN is far from liberal as they substitute religious polarization politics with caste and language.
Infact, TN is one of the casteist place you could find as violence against dalits are still happening by dominant / land owing caste. Even dmk minister's (Sekar babu) daughter couldn't escape this casteism as when she married a dalit guy, the couple were getting death threats.
What's funny is dmk keep engaging in same stuff they accuse BJP of doing at the center such as suppression of undesirable news (by family owned media like Sun network) , throwing dissenters into jail , caste / language polarization, unbelievably corruption, etc. Apart from PTR who is well educated , none of dmk cadres are educated and full of thugs. They are anything but liberal!
Cholas Dynasty built lot of temples. They were not ruling in other states. If they had been there, then we would have seen more temples there also. This has nothing to do with politics.
