Tacitly laid off - confused on what to do

I am a PM at an edtech startup. The company is not doing well and my boss is not a good leader. Although company has a runway of 2 years. For the past 3 months I have been doing program management. No product management related work at all. No one appreciates you here. It's mentally challenging to work here. No road map for myself. No appraisal. I'm just going on the job for salary. For the past week, I have been thinking about quitting and taking a break. Then look for a job. I know the market is tough but I have runway for 4-5 months. I have a total of 3 years of Product experience. What should you guys suggest. I really need your help here.

Context: Situation at my current company (0-10 startup) has been really bad, I was looking out but not with 100% focus. But yesterday my company told me I'm getting laid off but they'll pay me a month's salary. Didn't react much, just gave my resignation email that my last working day will be tomorrow. Fortunately, I've like 5 interviews lined up through the next week. One being my dream in the productivity/AI domain. But unfortunately/fortunately I got a referral for senior PM role which needs 4+ years of experience but I've only 3+. I would've been more comfortable with a PM because it's easier to crack? I've my first round tomorrow with HR as intro. How should I approach so that I can make it? How shall I negotiate the salary etc?

I recently changed my job, 3-4 months back. It was a hard time finding a good job profile with good offer, after almost a year of searching amd giving interviews i found my current job. Luckily, my interviews were very good and i was offered more than what i had asked. After joining team, i realized that they are looking to prepare for some regulatory changes and my role was pivotal in that. I kind of got to work and contribute on my own and my manager and his boss liked me. I was getting set but then last week, company announced some changes in top leadership and my manager's boss got a new boss. Now this guy seems little tricky and i don't know what all changes he would bring. As of now he seems to be sure of expanding the team/work that i do (related to regulatory stuff). Now, these changes has got me a bit nervous. And i am kind a bit afraid about my job and its future. This is causing me stress. Any ideas or thoughts that can help me navigate.

With talks of PMs not being required last year, to crazy layoffs scene and PM hiring being the indicator of industry hiring scene, how do you folks deal with the anxiety? With PM hiring being skewed towards supply side, do you think about contingency plans in case you are fired? Too much anxiety being a PM with 5 years experience and salary being the only income source.

I am now planning to quit and move on. However, I am not sure if I want to continue being a PM, because it's very overwhelming honestly and I actually enjoyed the last 12 months as a generalist. Need career advice from fellow PMs whether to pursue program mgmt/strategy/general mgmt/Chief of staff/new initiatives roles or devote 100% of my time to prepare for PM interviews and also try to make up for the last 12 months by doing side projects and maybe even interning under a senior PM Some pointers about me: 1. I have 2 YoE in PM. 2. I have a CS degree from a tier 1/2 college 3. There is no particular reason to quit. Job is chill

Hi everyone, I'll cut right to the chase I have had 6 months of experience as a product intern and I'm trying to get into an APM role for the past 3 months. I have not been able to get any interviews or calls for an APM role. The only calls I get are for product intern roles. Is 6 months of experience not enough to move into a full time role??? I've done my engineering, completed my MBA from a tier 1 institute yet I'm not being considered as a qualified candidate. The past 3 months have really taken a toll on my mental health and everyday feels like a burden. I would really appreciate if you all could guide me on what to do because I have no clue where I'm going.

Please tell me if there is any survival kit to survive the layoff. I am a Product Manager and have been laid off yesterday. Since then I have been panicking and feeling anxiety all the time. I am trying to be calm and handle this with all my patience but I am failing into this. I feel lost, confused, and shattered. Even breathing feels like a task right now. I can sense my heart rate going fast. Is it normal to feel this way?

Last year March, I was hired as Growth & Marketing Lead in one of the companies abroad at 30LPA (Remote). Now, they are shutting the project I’m in and have received a notice. I’m a Marketer by profession with expertise in 0-1 growth in startups. I’ve 8 YOE. Now the problem is, 0-1 startups in India can’t afford me easily and other startups say I don’t have experience in series B and further kind of startups. If 0-1 have got good funding amount, they still want to hire someone who has experience of scaling Series A and further kind of startups. The basic chicken and egg problem. Although I’m trying to apply for the companies abroad, I’m super confused what should I do now. I’ve emergency funds to sustain 3 months but don’t want to rely on that.
