So I had to close the IPO and allot the shares (manually right now 🥹) that's why couldn't drop an Exponent update earlier. But here it is. First of all, thank you for the love and support, we closed our first creator IPO on the fantasy app. Honestly I wasn't expecting this many people to turn up and use the app. Couldn't appreciate you guys enough. Now that we've closed the first IPO, the stocks are freely tradable in the live market. You can buy/sell stocks of SIDEMEN and manage your portfolio! A few things to keep in mind: 1. Order matching: For now, we only support market orders and not price orders. So any orders you place will be at the current trading price. 2. Order execution: order matching and price update takes place hourly. Based on volume of trade, will bring this down to minutes (or even seconds). 3. Advanced orders: for now, you cannot sell shares you don't own in your portfolio. This also means there will have to be buy orders to match with your sell orders and vice versa. Orders which don't get matched are reversed and money/shares are added back to your account. tldr: Been working on Exponent, a stock exchange app of creators, on the side for sometime, and launched yesterday! Would love to get your opinions, thoughts and feedback, ama! Exponent is a stock exchange platform of creators where creators can raise capital from their followers in exchange for tradable digital assets/shares. Works like a typical stock market, IPOs and trading. Mission is to enable creators (selectively) to leverage their follower base and raise capital for their brands/ventures/big budget long term projects. We launched with the fantasy app yesterday. Based on feedback in the private beta, realised that a fantasy app will help people understand this new asset class and overall concept without hesitation of putting real money into this platform. Shutting it down
Hey guys, With a heavy heart and after 10-11 months of constant work I am shutting my startup down. Thanks for all the love and support. What happened was I was able to build the product but couldn't raise enough funds to get the required gov. licenses to go live. I did build a demo mode to let people test out what the app was supposed to be and got more than 250+ sign ups.
