I used to ignore IPL until this season. I don’t know why but this season is just way too much fun. Not sure what’s the reason but I end up catching up to IPL highlights at the end of every day.

I genuinely don’t feel like we are hosting a cricket World Cup in our country this year. In 2011, the hype and craze around us hosting was way higher. Stadiums were better filled them for other games apart from Indian games, while I saw at least 5-10% empty seats even for the India v Aus game even though everything was apparently sold out in minutes on BMS? 

Is it a PR/marketing problem or is the hype from the sport just not great anymore?
