Thinking of joining a remote job. Need advice.

In short, I visited the US in 2018 for a exposure trip sponsored by the government as part of a startup competition I won with my team. Consequently, I now hold a valid B1/B2 visa until 2028. At times, I wonder how I could leverage this visa for my benefit. Currently, I have no engagements in the US but can visit friends there if I land there. I have a remote job with flexible hours, although I'm not sure if my company allows working from different time zones. However, I believe I could manage that somehow. Do you think it makes sense to go and stay there for some time to explore? I feel this could be beneficial in the long term. On the flip side, it's worth noting that this isn't necessary and may not be a wise financial choice. What do you guys think? What are your thoughts?

Hey guys, Wanted to know your opinions and if someone has walked similar path before. I am in infrastructure engineering domain, want to transition into core backend with full stack. I have roamed around abroad and found really great quality of life - 1. Food quality is damn good! 2. Spending power when you travel with that currency to other parts of the world 3. Disciplined 4. Power of people, where the rules are same for all. You are just as powerful or weak as a politician in regards to upholding the law. I like these concepts and want to explore living abroad, learning cultures, traditions and people. I was thinking of getting into a Europe based company(understand the pay would be less but I get to roam EU countries with better work life balance) for my backend role and leave my current job to prepare for it as my entire day is sucked off by this current high paying job and it's not fun anymore Thoughts? Tldr - Not happy with my current life sucking role at startup. Have experienced better life abroad as a tourist. Want to switch to a job abroad and experience customs, traditions, people, culture, languages!

Not very sure about the offer I have in hand. It’s a large MNC 3 day a week hybrid role. Background: 3+ years with a early stage startup, laid off Unemployed for one year Joined Unicorn startup at +15% - just about one year - hybrid but mostly remote coz most of the team is in a different city even though we have an office in BLR Now offer in hand - MNC +15% Primary reason for job change: lack of growth opportunities in current org/role challenges working remotely with a team that goes to office in a different city Should I take it? Or should I wait for a better opportunity. No interviews lined up currently.

I have resigned from my current company which is fully remote. They have put me on the bench while I serve notice period and I have nothing to do till my Last Working Day in September. I have an offer from a company which is again fully remote. Should I join this new company from August while serving the notice period with the current company? Would there be any short term or long term complications? Tax, PF?

Today i have gone to doctor as i have headache and little bit of dizziness. She said i got anxious all the time. It is kind of true. But i dont know how to rectify those anxiousness. For example, i am going get a project where i dont how to work on backend project wrt testing. I got anxious. I got anxious while driving that i have to drive safely. I dont have to go for over speed limit. Even if i pick up tea cup i got anxious that tea should not be spilled on floor. I have remote job and work is chill. But anxiousness always finds a way in my routine. Due to that i am getting high blood pressure. I am also walking daily except this week due to sickness. Any idea how to be less anxious in every work.

Hi all, I'm a PM with 3 years of B2C experience working at a mid sized startup. I recently joined and the toxic culture around being at office all the time is taking a toll on me. The founder is unwilling to even consider medical / health related issues for giving WFH and deliberately schedules meetings at 7-7:30 PM so that people stay longer hours. HR never told me about such strict aversion to WFH or flexible timings during hiring and now I feel stuck. Unfortunately, I have heard it's the same with a lot of companies - even big sized unicorns. I have now decided to only and exclusively be open to remote jobs coming from US/EU startups even if they happen to pay me lesser. If you're someone who's in similar company, can you please tell me the process of how you cracked it? And if there's an opening somewhere, would you be willing to refer me? Thanks a lot

*TW: Mental Health Struggles* Hi there, folks! I was contemplating about how my fellow professionals with mental health conditions manage their careers and grow despite the daily struggles. You see, I deal with Clinical Depression and Anxiety which often hinders how I function day to day and have too manage through rigorous therapy and opting for heavy medication. This condition often disables me to concentrate on long-term performance and stability in a ln organisation- I often get burnout within 6-7 months of the job & need to take a sabbatical of the work. Hello folks, So I got an offer from a US based product company for remote role for Product designer. This company just raised a seed funding. They don’t have any office in India but their tech team and some of the people from leadership team (CxOs) are from India. I’m confused whether to go with this offer or not. Reason: 1. Their interview process was too good to be true, it was very quick, no assignments given, they just saw the portfolio, ask some process related questions and then they agreed to give offer. 2. It’s a pure remote company with no plans to build office in India in coming future. 3. They have very small team, I’ll be working as 2nd designer only. 4. As per the current job market, I’m afraid about their future. YOE : 3yrs Hike that I’m getting is 50% Help a fellow UX designer decide whether to go with this or not.
