CA is a programme which frankly lost its crown 2 decades ago. Old companies dont need increased headcount and new statmrtups will outsource it. The number of juniors getting the Charter every year ensures that you can hire anyone at 4LPA, for rote work which can be done with 6m of training.

Nothing wrong with CAs. But the long tenure of the programme is useless.

Agreed. But this is very case of engineering, medical and even law. The four 'dream' careers of Indian parents

Where to go now 🤷

We always discussed that 2 kinds of people became CA those who had family practice or morons. This way all the way back in 2014. How have people not learnt this in over a decade?

Point is not about just CA. Everywhere it is same. Someone will agree to do your job for lesser value. And someone even lesser

That's what happens if you have an infinite supply of stem graduates.

CAs (majority) are cringe. Sit with them and you’ll definitely hear stories of CA struggle days. They believe ‘only they’ work hard and deserve a golden crown at the end of the CA journey.

Can't agree more to this sentiment! Prospects for the middle class are turning to shit at an exponential rate. Why bring even more suckers into this garbage economy?

This is a classic case of entitlement. The guy took 7 yrs to complete a 3yrs course. Given CA final 5 times and still got a job of 5-6 lacs but rather than being thankful, wants the world just because eventually he passed a CA course. Even now after getting a job and trying to prove that he is actually good, he is writing a mail to president and blaming everyone except himself for this. Classic case of entitlement and playing victim card.

What has this got to do anything, I mean anything to do with having kids?

What will the kids do in such high competition and reservations

Life's a circus, and we're the clowns. Having kids? Adding more spectators to the show. Why not fix the circus first?

GroovyWaffle

Most of them are anyway artificially kept employed due to complex regulations by sebi and mca. If those are simplified, most existing CAs would lose their jobs.

The world is a circus and you want to add more monkeys? Think about it, 'Kya bachchon ka bhavishya yahan secure hai?'
