Salty question 😂
@AstroBubbles I’m so sorry 😂
But what’s your take on this?
Firstly, it is becoming HR of jokes because pm has to make the engg do the work without them reporting to the pm. This so called "influence people" is making it the butt of jokes. Mostly influencing is seen as a bad thing. And some people do exploit it. Just like HRs.
Secondly, lack of respect. Respect is earned via work or authority. Widely teams think that pms don't have to do the "actual " work, hence no respect. And since they don't have any authority, no respect.
PMs not collaborating directly with Dev Teams is downright bad.

Devs had clear understanding of the requirements and could tell the limitations straight up without bureaucracy.
In my new company, it's typical only EMs talk to PMs bullshit and I miss the synergy I had in my previous team
Two things I mention to all my undertrainee

Clear threat to PM is the fact that if Biz guys become good at tech and Yech guys become good at Biz.
Time for AI. 🤞🏻
