Too much of a trajectory change from SDE to Consultant
I am currently doing my internship at Amazon which is most likely not gonna get converted to a full time offer (provided the market conditions), I have another offer from EY for the role of Technology Consultant which would mainly involve work in data analysis. I have heard that it will be very tough to come back to an sde role from a consultant role. So I am in a dilemma of what to do next? P.S. I am more inclined towards an SDE role due to the growth it provides.
Having Amazon in your resume will be a way bigger help in getting offers elsewhere than EY imo.
Btw, why and how do you have the blue tick? Are you on the grapevine team?
Nope, there's another section for Amazon India Employees on grapevine. You have to just verify your work email to join that and get a blue tick.
So everyone who verifies their work email get this or only Amazon public?

TL;DR: Try applying for and getting an SDE offer
Although the hiring situation is not like 2022, and I assume you still have around a month before your internship ends, it'll be challenging but you can still try landing an SDE role at the Companies that are still hiring until your Amazon internship ends/EY joining date
I'm in a similar situation as you, and I say this from personal experience, as this was exactly what I did, grabbed a fallback offer for if things didn't work out
Keep trying and don't lose hope ✌🏻
Classic first timer doubts😂
Even I was like that when I just started the career
For sde career : Amazon
For consultation career : the best path to consulting is via MBA route, there the tag matters the most than work. Amazon tag > EY. Hence Amazon
And do not think too much, both are good options

Just curious about how much does Amazon pay for Interns?

So it's more than what Google pays for their interns? What kind of profile do we need to get into Amazon?
Sorry for too many questions!😅
