And posting that as if they are making some contribution to the community. They are keeping posts as that is their way of giving back to the community as if it's some sort of charity.

I dont have a problem with people who keep it openly as its a way to earn some money. You are giving your time so asking money for it is not at all wrong in my book

I never said that charging 6000 or 10000 is wrong.
As you said it's their value in their terms.
I said Calling it giving back to the community is wrong.
When you are doing something for money it's like a job and it's a side income for them which is totally fine.
And I myself do things for money and am never ashamed of that until I do something illegal.
I agree that some people in india consider earning more money as taboo.
Am not one of them.
These chindifluencers and their shit topmate sessions are not with a dime. The only thing they are doing for the community is exploiting them

Speaking as someone who has mentored numerous students and early career professionals for free, I can tell you that most free sessions ended up to be huge waste of my time.
Very few share the agenda beforehand to allow me to prepare, and if they do, they come unprepared expecting me to do the job for them. Ending each call feels like a relief and makes me feel guilty for having committed that time for no good.
A small fee filters out the spammers and free loaders and people become serious for what they pay for. Given the Indian mindset, a small payment is definitely a good thing.
I won’t be surprised if someone pays the worth of a beer or two they would anyway splurge on a weekend in return for some actual value and ask for my kidneys as a part of the mentoring offer! \s

I have now stopped giving free advice. I like to it, but my experience was quite discouraging.
